Rubrics redux

I realized, after I sent this list, that sometimes the links changed color when sending, so you wouldn’t be able to tell which schools I was highlighting, so in this list if the school has an *, it means they have their admissions rubric posted at that link listed.

Note: not all rubrics are the same. Some schools elaborately list out what they’re looking for, others, like Townsend Harris, give basic guidelines. You can always ask for more details - rubrics are supposed to be transparent.

Another note: performing arts schools, including LaGuardia, have admissions rubrics that use grades, test scores, and attendance along with auditions when ranking kids. At some, the audition part is surprisingly low. Back when my kids were looking (which wasn’t all that long ago), Laguardia auditions were only 17% of their admissions rubric.
