While there aren’t that many official ways of seeing schools in the spring, a terrific idea (thanks Vanessa!) is to visit schools when they’re hosting some sort of school based event this spring. Schools have concerts, plays, sporting events and that could be a great to check out something your child might be interested in. I even know some intrepid parents who’ve hung out outside schools after school, to get a sense of the student body.
An example: Brooklyn Tech is hosting their spring choral concert today.
Checking school websites for events is a constructive way of also leaving more about individual schools: what they offer, events they host, how they share information.
